Freeze on Skis- New Years Day 2009

We rang in the new year in Idaho and what better way than to water ski? Morgan thought so! He participated in the 22nd annual Freeze on Skis at Shoshone Falls on the Snake River. It wasn't snowing this year (I guess it was last year) but it was still cold... Morgan decided last minute that he wanted to do it and rounded up some donations (it's a fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation, which I though was appropriate my brother having just battled cancer). Morgan borrowed a semi-dry suit from his uncles ice-diving gear and eagerly braved the cold water with 13 other crazy folks. Morgan's a great skier so it was a cake walk for him, although his landing was hilarious...they flung him onto the edge of the water (ridiculously fast) and he flew out of his skis and hit the snow...we should have video taped it! Morgan had so much fun my brother Kory thought he should give it a try; so he put the suit on (fully clothed underneath) and went skiing too...

Oh my goodness...that is insanity! There ain't no way you could get me to do that! Brrrr. I though I was going to die just running errands in the 26 degree weather...

Morgan you are crazy!!! It is a good cause yes, but you are still nuts. I had no idea your brother just battled cancer, I hope that everything is okay.
